My name is Nik Peran.

I created this website mainly for the blog, to share my ideas on web design and show people how easy it is to build websites. It’s also where I test out new web technologies as I learn about them.

I love the infinite creativity possible on the internet. Add to that the potential to earn an income from it and you have the freedom to live any lifestyle you care to dream of. Of course you still need to put in the work. But nowadays it’s possible for individuals to work from anywhere in the world and sell their products or services to anyone in the world.

You gotta love that !  God bless the 21st century.

If I could represent everything I thought about life, business and design in one symbol, the above drawing by MC Escher would be it.

I  live  by the principle of: “What goes around, come around.”  I didn’t make it up. But I’ve seen the truth of it so many times I can’t ignore it.

It’s about me helping you helping me helping you . . . You get the idea.

It also evokes the TAO, which is to say, the value of  balance in all things. It symbolizes flow and following the path of least resistance.

It blurs the boundaries of reality which begs the question, “Are we human beings having a spiritual experience? Or are we spiritual beings having a human experience?”

It’s about building websites not just as individual products, but knowing that everything we create has the potential to improve the world. And by improving the world we help ourselves as individuals.

Strewth ! That got a little more deep and meaningful than I intended. But there you have it. That’s me.
